Role before claims

RecoveryDeck Source independent procurement desk

We help business buyers define custom flatbed tow truck requirements and compare candidate factory responses. We are not a manufacturer, authorized dealer, towing operator, importer of record, inspection authority, or certification body.

Buyer-side coordination

We structure the request, clarify open choices, approach candidate original manufacturers, normalize responses, and flag evidence or exclusions that require follow-up.

Buyer-controlled decisions

The buyer approves suppliers, specifications, commercial terms, inspections, payment, import arrangements, destination compliance, registration, insurance, and final acceptance.

How the desk works

A traceable path from operating need to supplier response

  1. Define the vehicle, not just the label

A “flatbed tow truck” request is expanded into target vehicle classes, loading condition, chassis preference, deck length and width, loading angle, winch, wheel lift, securement, tool storage, lighting, camera, and control requirements. Unknown items stay marked for supplier discussion.

  2. Normalize the quotation basis

Every candidate receives the same quantity, destination, requested delivery window, Incoterm, inspection scope, and document list. Options are separated from the base configuration so a lower headline price cannot hide an incomplete build.

  3. Request configuration-level evidence

We ask for a dated quotation, specifications, drawings where relevant, ratings basis, included equipment, warranty boundary, production assumptions, and logistics exclusions. Family brochures and generic claims do not replace exact-build evidence.

  4. Return decisions to the buyer

We organize comparisons and unresolved questions; we do not grant approvals. The buyer may appoint independent inspectors, customs specialists, legal advisers, or state-level experts before accepting a supplier or placing an order.

Working boundaries

Questions buyers should settle early

Clear boundaries reduce rework without pretending that every requirement is known at the first contact.

Does RecoveryDeck Source own a factory?

No. The service is an independent sourcing intermediary. Factory identity, production responsibility, commercial terms, and vehicle documents must be attributed to the selected supplier.

Are supplier ratings already verified?

No. High-end, mid-range, or budget is the buyer’s preference for cost, finish, customization, and support. It is not a verified supplier grade. Evidence review remains configuration-specific.

Can the service approve a vehicle for the United States?

No. FMVSS, EPA, import, registration, and state requirements depend on exact configuration and destination. Qualified parties must check the applicable evidence.

What can be compared without a current quote?

The requirement structure, evidence list, and cost categories can be prepared first. Price, availability, MOQ, prototype route, and lead time are confirmed only through current supplier responses.

How are used units handled?

If a used vehicle enters the scope, each unit requires VIN, model year, odometer or hours, dated condition imagery, inspection scope, and title or export records. Series-level material is insufficient.
